A good solid professional education costs money. Be wary of courses that are too cheap. Since COVID-19, the Internet has become bloated with online courses but the quality of many of those courses is alarming.
We have an ethical obligation to deliver an education that keeps our clients safe and that upholds the standard of our profession. I am concerned that many of these online courses may produce clinicians who have no practical understanding or skill in the application of art therapy.
Working as a psychotherapist is a highly skilful profession that requires a solid theoretical background married with professional guidance from an expert. This is the reason we offer on-campus Intensives (or Skype meetings for those who cannot attend an Intensive).
Please be careful of offers for Certificate and Diploma Courses in Art Therapy that are cheap and offer no personal tuition. You get what you pay for.

Art Therapy Introduction Course
The Introduction Course gives you a first taste of the benefits of art therapy. If you’re a practicing therapist, it will give you a few ideas for your clients.

Recommended Learning Pathway
While you can complete our courses online, we highly recommend taking advantage of our on-campus Intensives.
The best way to begin your art therapy adventure is with our 2-Day Introductory Intensive.
2-Day Introductory Intensive
The 2-Day Introductory Intensive is the best way to start your adventure into Art Therapy.
It provides an engaging and inspiring first taste of art therapy and is one of our most popular offerings. Along with “live” in-person teaching from Rob Gray, the learning experience is multiplied by group interaction with your fellow students. In fact, many students describe it as life-changing and career-shaping.
Our Course Bundles
Again, while studying the Certificate and Diploma Course can be done online, the best learning pathway is to take advantage of our on-campus Intensives. After completing the online modules in your own time, attending an Intensive in an Australian city of your choice is the recommended pathway for those pursuing a comprehensive education.
Course Addons
For those who want to observe Rob Gray demonstrate many of the art therapy techniques in real life therapy sessions, we highly recommend the video addons. For those who are unable to participate in one our on-campus Intensives, we recommend enriching the online course material via Skype meetings.
